PDCS has built a reputation in Central Florida for providing reliable, knowledgeable and cost-effective building and life safety code services. Since its inception, PDCS has focused on building department services by not providing any engineering, surveying, architecture or materials testing services often provided by other companies. In 2010, PDCS expanded its services to include Fire and Life Safety Department Services. As PDCS celebrates its 20th year as central Florida’s building department resource, we have developed a comprehensive approach to building department and fire/life safety department services and work seamlessly with the public sector to provide these services to their citizens, developers, and contractors.
The building code inspection services industry has evolved in the past two decades with developers and contractors utilizing private provider firms for building plan review and inspection services. We are steadfast in our approach, providing services to public entities only. PDCS does not offer Private Provider Services. This increase in private provider usage by developers makes PDCS’ services unique and necessary for our clients to ensure their communities continue to have structures that are code compliant, safe and effective. Our building code administrators can focus on providing Florida Building Code interpretations and implementations that are unaffected by the highest bidder. Many of our competitors offer Private Providers Services while servicing municipalities; PDCS views this as a direct conflict of interest which continues to set us apart in the industry.
